The LAB Z-Pipe Midpipe is designed to blend the S68 V8’s exhaust pulses, producing a smoother, higher-pitched sound as the RPM rises while reducing the muted character of the factory midpipe.
Manufactured from high-grade T304 stainless steel, the system features precision bends and TIG-welded construction for durability, consistent flow, and accurate fitment. It installs between the factory downpipes and rear exhaust section and works with the OEM rear exhaust as well as compatible aftermarket systems.

Will the LAB Z-Pipe cause a check-engine light?
No. The Z-Pipe replaces the midpipe section and does not remove or alter the factory catalytic converters or emissions sensors. When installed correctly, it does not cause a check-engine light.
Does it require a tune?
No tune is required for the midpipe when used as intended.
Does it work with the factory exhaust?
Yes. The LAB Z-Pipe is designed to work with the factory rear exhaust system and compatible aftermarket catbacks.
Will the factory exhaust valves still work?
Yes. The midpipe does not replace the factory rear exhaust valve system, so factory valve operation is retained.
What does the Z-pipe design change?
The Z-pipe layout blends the exhaust pulses from both banks of the S68 V8. This creates a smoother, more connected tone with a sharper and more exotic pitch as RPM increases.
Will it eliminate all drone or rasp?
The system is designed to smooth the exhaust note and reduce unwanted rasp. Final cabin volume and drone can vary depending on the downpipes, rear exhaust, vehicle settings, and other modifications.
Is it compatible with aftermarket downpipes?
It can be paired with compatible factory-fitment downpipes. Catless or high-flow downpipes will substantially increase sound volume and may have their own tuning or emissions requirements.
